The Pilot Colonel Anderson
was the villian in the pilot episode. He could not come to terms with the fact that the
war was over, so he banded together a group of confederate soldiers who believed they
could resurect the South. |
One Day Out West Lucas James killed the local storekeeper, Mr. Potter. When he was jailed his uncle Stuart James tried to bully Judge Travis into releasing Lucas. When that did not work he sent his men to break Lucas out of the jail. The seven men went to James' ranch to bring Lucas back to stand trial. |
Working Girls Wickes runs a small tent town called Wickestown. He offers whiskey, gambling and women. When Buck realizes that Nora, one of the women, is being beaten up by Wickes, he intervines and takes Nora back to Four Corners with him. Lydia and several other prositutes leave Wickestown and go to Four Corners. When Wickes finds out he goes to Four Corners, kidnaps Mary and offers her as a trade for the women. In the end Wickes is shoot by Lydia, but killed by Buck. |
Safecracker Morgan Coltran is a bank robber who has noticed the expanding wealth of the Four Corners' bank. Upon entering the town, Morgan recognizes Terry Greer. She is a former safecracker recently released from prison. Morgan wants her to help him rob the bank, she refuses. Terry does not want to jeoparize her second chance, but Morgan informs her that with out helping him she won't have a life. To ensure Terry's cooperation, Morgan sends two men into town to watch over her daughter Olivia. As the gang ride into town, Buck and Ezra are watching for any sign of Olivia's whereabouts. As Chris, Terry and Morgan leave the bank with the money, Buck and Ezra free Olivia. Seeing that Olivia is safe Chris and Terry run for cover. Chris kills Morgan in a shootout. |
Witness When Billy returns to Four Corners, so do his nightmares about the night his father died. He is haunted by a silver pocketwatch and runs away. Chris and Vin find Billy and as they are bringing him back to town someone tried to kill Billy. The seven devise a plan to bring out the killers. It turns out that Billy's father was looking into land deeds that would have ruined Mr. Wheeler. So he and Frank killed him to keep him quiet. |
Nemesis Cletus Fowler is the man responsible for hiring the men who burned Chris's house and killed his wife and son. Finding a link to the deaths, Chris returns to Eagle Bend to investigate. Having learned that Fowler is the man responsible, Chris sets out trying to find him. Realizing that Fowler is probably long gone, Chris gets drunk. But Fowler was just waiting to find Chris alone. He tells Chris that he was hired to kill Chris, but got his family by mistake and he enjoyed watching them die. A shooting match breaks out and when Fowler is hit he runs out to the barn. Chris catches up to Fowler and during a fight a lantern is broken and the barn catches on fire. Fowler agrees to tell Chris who hired him and why, but instead he runs into the fire. |
The Collector Guy Royal is trying to buy up all the land around Four Corners. When Nettie Wells refuses to sell her land, Guy Royal sends his men into steal her goods and trash the place. Vin and the guys stop Royal and his men and they recover all the goods stolen from Nettie and the other towns folk. |
Manhunt A local brave named Chanu is arrested for the kidnapping of Claire Mosley. When Vin tries to befriend Chanu and offer understanding, Chanu chokes him and escapes. Vin and Nathan run into Mr. Mosley and they proceed on and find Chanu with a dead Claire. Chanu runs off and Vin and Nathan follow while Mosley takes Claire home. Vin tracks down Chanu and take him home. The towns men are already there accusing Chanu of killing Claire. But Nathan proceeds to decribe the type of person that could have killed Claire. This person would have had two good hands and Chanu broke one in the struggle with Vin. If turns out that Chanu and Claire were married and Mosley could not comprehend that she chose Chanu. In his anger, he strangled Claire. |
Inmate 78 Chris is drinking in a bar out of town and he is arrested by a crooked sherrif and his deputy. Sherrif Quince and the warden of the local prison are falsley arresting people to milk their familys for "bail". Chris tries to protect inmate 46 from the warden and he is beaten. The warden feels that the six are asking too many questions and decides to kill Chris and send him back to his friends in a coffin. The warden throws Chris in the Hole and puts a rattle snake in with him. The six arrive at the prison in time to rescue Chris and the other innocent prisoners. |
