As the title suggests, "The Seventh Sign" is an apocalpyse movie. However, the biblical signs are understated to the point that they look like average natural disasters. Indeed, non-horror movies such as "Superman" and "Twister" have more dramatic disasters. Nevertheless, the movie benefits from a reasonably intelligent script and a very good cast. Jurgen Prochnow does a particularly convincing performance as a mysterious supernatural entity. Without Prochnow, this movie would have been average at best. Overall, "The Seventh Sign" is a decent--but mild--supernatural drama. |

** NOTE: The more dots, the higher the rating. A dozen dots mean that the movie is a masterpiece while one or no dots means that the movie is about as much fun as kissing an electric fence. ** |
