Like a sequel is supposed to do, "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" begins where its predecessor ends. This is also one of those rare sequels that outshines the original. It moves at a considerably faster pace than the first Hellraiser and has an even more convoluted plot. The atmosphere is outstanding throughout the film! From the bleak sanitarium right through the surreal realm of Hell, the magnificent scenery is truly a work of art. Aside from being a visual triumph, this sequel also brings back a landmark villain from the original, Julia! Aside from a couple nagging flaws, the movie is a horror masterpiece. Ashley Laurence still needs to brush up on her acting, and Pinhead once again takes a back seat to someone even worse. Even so, who can refuse something with style and substance? Clive Barker must have felt like the king of the world after seeing this! |

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the better the movie is. If it has the maximum of 12 dots, then the movie is a masterpiece. No dots means if you watch it, you will waste at least an hour of your life. ** |
