Cute title, but unfortunately, the house is not very deadly at all. Other than the special appearance by a talking pizza, there are no evil monsters, and it turns out that the house is only haunted by a good spirit! Needless to say, this is not a very scary movie. Although it has some gangsters led by a midget who wants to turn the house into a toxic waste dump, the movie doesn't capitalize on that idea enough. If only they'd show a few people mutating from the chemicals, then maybe there would be some horror, but unfortunately, it never happens and the result is a rather lethargic movie that feels longer than it actually is. The bottom line: "House IV: Home Deadly Home" is a disappointment, even if you like the House series. |
