LUTHER THE GEEK

After witnessing a carnival geek bite the head off of a chicken during a troubled childhood, Luther eventually gets the nasty idea of biting the heads off of people. He looks like an inbred version of Chris Elliott, which is rather scary. Adding but sometimes subtracting to his overall creepiness is the fact that he literally acts like a rooster throughout the entire movie. No words ever come out of this guy. He clucks and gives the occasional "cock-a-doodle-doo", which is both funny and disturbing. The insanity soars when one of the victims clucks back at him, thus starting a conversation in chickenese (and giving me flashbacks of a couple bird-like wrestlers named Gobbledygooker and The Red Rooster)! The chicken mannerisms are funny at first, but they get silly after a while. Also, neither Luther nor his victims are very bright; otherwise, the story might have been much shorter. Nevertheless, gorehounds should be thoroughly impressed by the very graphic death scenes. When Luther is chomping on some necks, the movie hides nothing at all. Gallons of blood are gushing out of severed bodies, and every square inch of torn skin is shown in plain view! The bottom line: Recommended only for those who like outrageous horror movies, "Luther the Geek" is not for the humorless or the meek.

OVERALL RATING

6 out of 12

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the higher the rating. 12 is a masterpiece. One or no dots is also a masterpiece, if you consider poop to be a gourmet ingredient.**
