"Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings" has almost the exact same plot as the original: some wreckless teenagers accidently hit someone and consequently suffer from an attrition problem, but this time, the monster has ties to a deformed boy who was hung on purpose by another group of teenagers (who have since become middle-aged adults). Like the first Pumpkinhead, this movie has good cinematography and a pretty decent monster (though much of its appeal is lost once its origins are revealed). However, it lacks the strong acting performances and the well-crafted script of the original. The ending, which will not be discussed here, is rather stupid. Overall, "Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings" is mostly style with little substance and ranks about average as a horror film. |

** NOTE: The more dots, the higher the rating. A dozen dots mean that the movie is a masterpiece while one or no dots means that the movie is about as much fun as turning on a vacuum cleaner and sticking its nozzle down your throat. ** |
