Some horror movies unintentionally confuse the audience, but there are others that take extensive measures to completely throw us off. "Return to Horror High" is an example of the latter. Don't let its ultra-cheezy appearance lull you into believing it has a mindlessly simple slasher plot. No, this one has enough plot twists to tie a few square knots. The characters are making a sleazy horror film at a real murder scene (one of the characters basically tries to daterape a girl for $50!), and soon enough, someone is killing them in a variety of gory ways (well, maybe..maybe not...maybe...maybe not...). Combine the movie-within-the-movie aspect with a few dream sequences, and the potential for confusion skyrockets. You really have to pay attention if you want to follow the plot at all. Even then, it will thoroughly distract you away from the fairly obvious suspect, and the ending may leave you scratching your head. The bottom line: If you like cheezy and rather sleazy horror movies, then this one should be okay, especially if you could care less about the plot. |

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the better the movie is. 12 dots is an extremely positive rating. No dots is also a positive rating, that is, POSITIVELY HORRIBLE... ** |
