TIME WALKER

Despite what the title suggests, "Time Walker" has nothing to do with time travel. Instead, this is a B-movie about an alien mummy terrorizing the students at CSUN (California State University of Northridge, and, yes, it really exists--I went there for a few years). No kidding about the plot there, either. Can an alien mummy generate more chills than your average, run-of-the-mill human variety? No, at least, not in this movie. Also, the acting is every bit as bad as the premise of the film. Quite a few of the actors and actresses have appeared in other movies, so it seems doubtful that the drama students of CSUN are to blame for the birth of "Time Walker." Regardless where the cast and production have originated, what sort of acting can you honestly expect when a game show host is the director? (The director has hosted game shows such as "The Price Is Right" and "Name That Tune.") All bashing aside, this flick has some camp value and is still watchable, especially when seen through Mystery Science Theater 3000.

My rating: 4

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the better the rating. 12 dots means the movie is *special* in a good way.
No dots also indicates the movie is *special* but only in a BAD way! **
