THE WRAITH

Not exactly the same kind of wraith you would find in Mansonesque role-playing games such as "Final Fantasy" and "Dungeons & Dungeons," this one is a race car driver who lures thuggish gearheads to their deaths. While it isn't a very scary movie, it does have some eerie scenes showing what the victims look like after they get into car wrecks (after some wreckless driving). Part of the problem with the movie (aside from mediocre acting) is that the "wraith" only kills unscrupulous people who deserve to die. So what if the "wraith" sends murderous road pirates to their deaths? Probably the biggest reason to watch the movie at all is the exotic muscle cars racing through the desolate roads of Arizona, including the multi-million dollar Turbo Interceptor which can regenerate itself after an accident! If you're a car buff, then this movie is certainly worth a look. Otherwise, it would be advisable to spend your 90 minutes on something else.
