Great Weekend

Hey everyone. It's been almost a week since my last update, and I just wanted to give you a quick run-down on what's been going on in my life. First, I just wanted to let you know Simpson's Trivia is finally updated. I fell 11 days behind, so I put 12 questions up, and I'll keep them up for the rest of the day today, and then all day tomorrow too.

My sister's wedding was last Friday, and it was a blast. You're going to have to bear with me. I have some pics I'm going to put up, and when I get a good couple of hours to do so, I will. Here are just a few of the highlights from the wedding.

  • The kilt wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was a little itchy, and I also had to pull my skirt forward whenever I sat down. What a pain in the ass.
  • Matt Phinney and I finally had our first shot together. We went all out and did a shot of tequilla. I don't think Matt will ever be the same...
  • Julie and George were brutal when it came to feeding each other the cake. I think I have a couple of pics of it. They were a mess.
  • Chris's best man speech was hilarious. He was like a stand-up comic, and he even imitated The Rock and Jerry Seinfeld. Good stuff.
  • I'll give you some more information when I get all of the pics on the site.

Also, Turkey Bowl 2001 was held on Thanksgiving morning. Adrianne did an awesome job of taking pics and I'll get those up as soon as I can also. The important details:

  • Rob and I improved our Turkey Bowl record to 2-0.
  • A newcomer named Will was named MVP of the losing team. He is definetely a quality athlete.
  • Katie pulled double duty. Not only was she the loudest fan there, but she also came off the bench and played well as a substitute. She ended up making one catch after she took off those huge, bulky gloves.
  • One significant injury to report. Kevin layed a pretty intense hit on Marc that sidelined him for part of the game. But Marc came back like the trooper he is, and played well at the end of the game engineering many scoring drives. The hit was almost Drew Bledsoe like, and we were worried that he had suffered a collapsed lung like Drew, but he toughed it out, unlike Drew.
  • Kenny, Eric, and John made impressive Turkey Bowl debuts, as they were all making key plays all day long.
  • Roughest game this year: Tim Trull. He had a rough morning. He was thrown to many times, and most of the time, the ball was not placed where it should have been, but there were a couple of times that it was right in his hands, and he just dropped it. Even with the super grip gloves he brought to the game, he was having problems all day.
  • Most aggravating part of every football game: Greg Leger's complicated play-calling strategy. I swear, I heard Greg say "Huddle Up" about 50 times that morning. If there was a play clock, his team would have had delay of game penalties about 30 times. I'm going to have to think about implementing a play clock for next year's game.
  • I'll tell you more about the wedding and the game as I get the pictures in. Later everyone...
