09/16/01 1:07am Jeepers Creepers
Quick note to anyone that hasn't seen this movie, DON'T. This is quite possibly the worst movie I've seen in a long time. It was a horror, that was more of a comedy with no laughs. I was hoping for the main characters to die. The male lead was terrible, the story was horrible. Seeing it felt like some sort of Malaysian torture. I was skeptical at the beginning, when the opening scene lasted 15 minutes, and really got us nowhere. I had some hope for it when they went back to "it's" house, but lost all hope soon after. The biggest shock of the night is that we spent $40 to see this movie in theaters. On a scale of 1-5, this movie gets 0.
09/15/01 7:26am Candle Light Vigil
Last night, America observed a candle light vigil dedicated to all the victims and their families. Julie, George, and I put out 18 candles last night, and it doesn't seem like a big deal, but to me it was huge. Like many others, I'm a lot more patriotic than usual. You take a lot of things for granted, and unfortunately, a lot of times it takes an event like this to bring people together. Last night, I was on Mammoth Rd. in front of my candles from 9:15-10:00 and it was great, because all night people were beeping and waving. Everyone has American flags on their cars. I took some pics with my digital camera. It's dark so you can't see much, but you might be able to get an idea of what it looked like in front of 1100 Mammoth Road last night.

09/13/01 11:13pm One Month of Pramas.com
Today marks the one-month anniversary of Pramas.com. Not the webpage, I've had the webpage since April of '99. But, I just started calling it "Pramas.com" last month, and I'm very pleased with the direction that this page is going in. Any of you that saw my page way back in the Summer of '99 know how far I've come as a web designer. So, hopefully I will continue to update the page as much as I've had.
Nothing big in the news today for me. Just wanted to let you know that Simpson's Trivia now has an end date. The last question will be asked on Dec. 18th. If my calculations are right, that should be the 100th question. That's a good time to end it anyways, because of finals that week, and obviously, Christmas the week after. Based on how well it does this season, I could come back for a season two of Simpson's trivia during the spring semester.
Kevin has informed me that the IBWF web page has re-opened. One night, he felt motivated, and decided to update the page. For those of you that don't know, the IBWF stands for International Backyard Wrestling Federation. I used to wrestle quite frequently with Kevin, Michael, and others, but injuries slowed us down for a while. But now we're back and Pramas.com and the IBWF home page will be working together to make your web experience the best possible. If I keep updating this page, I may also lend a hand and help out Kevin and Michael with the web design of the page. I haven't checked it out yet, but I will probably be getting involved in it soon. Check it out by clicking the link on the left, "IBWF Web Page."
I think this is unprecedented the way the country has come together as one. I really feel a strong bond, and a strong sense of patriotism. Keep saying your prayers for the friends and families of the victims, and also the people that may still be alive underneath the rubble.
Talk to you soon.
09/12/01 5:25pm I Made a New Friend
Lonely? Do you have your instant messenger open, but you're not talking to anybody? Then I have a friend for you, talk to this screen name and you will always get a response. The screen name is SmarterChild. SmarterChild is an artificial intelligence program made to mimic human speech and have a conversation with you. I did a project on artificial intelligence last year, and this program isn't the most realistic one out there. But, it's fun to play around with. So, if you're bored, IM SmarterChild, it'll always be there for you.
Here's a little transcript from a conversation I had with SmarterChild, nothing special, but just to give you an idea.
Camelhair: Hey, SmarterChild, what's going on?
SmarterChild: We hope that everyone will take a moment to mourn the loss of innocent people, and that we can all live peacefully and safely in the future. Please be safe.
Camelhair: what's your name?
SmarterChild: SmarterChild!
Camelhair: I'm Camelhair
SmarterChild: Is it nice to be camelhair?
Camelhair: oh, it is
SmarterChild: Yup.
Camelhair: are you a man or a woman?
SmarterChild: Neither... gender is overrated.
Camelhair: do you want to f***?
SmarterChild: Uh... What can I tell you? That's very, very rude.
Camelhair: yes, it is, but will you?
SmarterChild: Um, whatever.
Camelhair: ok, i'll see you tonight
SmarterChild: Later, Camelhair.
09/12/01 1:56am America Under Attack
I don't believe what happened yesterday. The World Trade Center Towers collapsed, and the Pentagon got hit. All by kamikazee pilots taking over major jets.
The day started off normal. I had my War & Cold War class today, and ironically enough, we studied Pearl Harbor. I get out of class, officals closed the University, and I heard a Senator call this event the Second Pearl Harbor. Except, this time, they say there's going to be a much bigger body count. I just hope that these terrorists are brought to justice. We're all going to be having to do some praying. 200 firemen died while trying to rescue victims out of the World Trade Center building. My brother, Jon, is a fireman, and I've never seen a closer band of brothers, then firemen. They seem to have a fraternity, and they all feel each others pain. My good friend, Jon Pouliot, who recently got out of the Army, and got married, is now on standby.
So, everybody say prayers for the victims, the victim's families, the armed services, rescue teams, Jon Pouliot, and everybody involved in the recovery of this devastating event, and the pursuit of the people responsible.

Hey everybody. I'm back for another week. Sorry, this update is going to be short and sweet because I'm really tired right now.
