March 9th 2000~Well this is a fast update but has a lot of good info!!! Disneyland is keeping up all of the good work we saw so much last summer. The parade is going under the knife but the firework show is still the best thing that has happend in a while (Plus a new effect to make the show even better). More info to come soon.... The Monorail is Back Well it has been since last Sept. but the Monorails are back up and running. (Well it still only runs one way) The new Hotel Station is now called the Downtown Disney Station You can no longer by tickets at the Monorail Station. So you will have to go to the ticket booths at the front of the park or I believe you can buy tickets inside the Hotel. It is nice to have the Monorails back but I can't wait till it goes back to its normal operations. The Disneyland Resort has a new Logo As you can see the new logo has the castle for Disneyland, Grizzly Mt. is there for DCA and the Monorail for the Hotels. I like it but the best news is that they are not going to change the classic Disneyland logo. So the resort logo is what you see to the left but the logo for Disneyland we all know and love is here to stay. Parade and Firework News It looks like the parade will be getting some changes by mid April. They are trying to make the parade better after mixed reviews. They are adding new Dancers and the Country Bear are going to be in the parade. I think the Country Bears will bring more of a Disneyland feel to this parade. And most of all they are going to change the Music. And as we reported A light flying around the Castle (to represent Tinker Bell) would appear in new firework show. Well they are still working on it but on March 4th the little Light made its debute. It should be in the rest of the shows now that it is working. Until next time OPD Webmaster Back to OPD
