Hey everyone. The past few weeks I have recived a lot of email about DCA. Many OPD readers are mad about DCA. Now Please Know I don't like everything about DCA but I do belive we should give it a chance and have a open mind. So I asked Mark the DCA: Virtual Tour Webmaster to wright a letter to all the readers of OPD. I also asked him to tell us why we should have a open mind about DCA. That is right E-Ticket Nights are coming to Disneyland. "What are E-Ticket nights Eric???" Well this will be when for 3 extra hours a few thousand people will get to be in the park and ride up to 9 of the E-ticket* rides. It should be a lot of fun and they are hopeing it will be very popular.
*E-ticket means a top of the line ride such as Space Mt. Indy or Splash.

The Monorail will be closed for the next few months. It will open back up in the spring with the new Autopia. They have totally demolished the Monorail station at the Disneyland Hotel. And are rerouting some of the monorail tracks.



They have begun a 2 year rehab on Frontierland but everything is still up in the air!!! They don't know for sure what they are doing with Tom Sawyers Island or Hunchbacks old festival area. There has been Rumors that the Villian Mt. may go on the back of Tom Sawyers Island but there are also rumors that a Tower of Terror type ride will go there. Disneyland Still wants a Pooh Ride so they may put that in Toon Town (BUT THERE IS NO ROOM) so they may put that in the old Festival of Fools area and hook it to Toon Town. As you can see there are many ideas going around so we just have to wait and see what the nice people on *Flower Street will do. (*Flower Street is where all the Imaginners Work.)

Well for a long time we have all pretty well know that Disneyland fans would not handle the MSEP being away for ever. So from what I know FOR SURE by the year 2005 the MSEP will be back in Disneyland. They may even bring it back sooner then that. But 2005 is the Big number 50 for Disneyland and so what better to say Happy Birthday then the return of a Classic???

This should be one of the Biggest Years For Christmas ever in Disneyland. Not only will there be "It's a SMALL WORLD Holiday" but in Toon Town they will add Decorations PLUS they will have a Christmas Show on the Rivers of America They will use the Mark Twain as the Stage the show will be where Fantasmic takes place. It should be very good. Why do you ask Disneyland Fans are becoming happier each day??? It is things like this that "DISNEYLAND DOES NOT HAVE TO DO" but they do.
From our Friends at the DIG SITE !! It looks like Disneyland will have a new Fire Work show next year. They were testing new spotlights and so on for the show. And in the past we have told you how Disneyland was going to have everyone get off the rides at 11:00 P.M. on New Years and wait till 12:01 to make sure that Y2K does not stop all the rides Well they have scrapped that idea they will hope for the best. So now you can ride your favorite ride at Midnight COOL.
And in Pirates of the Caribbean they have put a new ship Captian and he is much more life like. SO when Pirates opens back up you will have to go and check it out.
