UPDATED: 24th December 1999
Welcome to the Arslan Picture Archive, here you will find screecaptures from all of the series released in the USA. I've finally found the time (and space) to do some updating which can be viewed in the all the Image Archives. This marks pretty much the completion of this site -- I hope to add some manga scans in what is currently the Picture Gallery, which I may replace once a month, but that will be about the only update to this section unless any new episodes become available for this series.
For more images from other anime series we enjoy, check out Anime Isle. On the 2nd of April I added Saihitei's Palace, a section devoted to Hotohori of Fushigi Yugi.
Suggestions and comments are always welcome - so please email me. I would be glad to start up a FanArt Gallery, but that would rely soley upon submissions - if anyone is interested in this idea, contact me. Thanks!
If you are unfamiliar with "The Heoric Legend of Arslan", view my Summary (link below) for an overview of the first part of the series. If you'd like to purchase a copy, check out www.amazon.com - they have both the subtitled and dubbed versions of all 4 videos. As for the characters, the best of the best are:
My personal favourite - Narsus, the cunning and sarcastic strategist behind the group - once the Royal Historian (or Royal Secretary, depending on which version you care to go with) he took leave of the court to become a painter in the woods with his servant, Elam.
Lady Payne's favourites - Darun, the military strength in charge of the armies. To him, duty and loyalty are everything. Once a General, he was banished from his position and took up the role as protector of Prince Arslan. The other is the mysterious Quishward, the General of Peshwald.
Gieve is a rather fun character with his witty comments and devil-may-care attitude - a traveling minstral he ends up joining with Arslan, and his small party, after meeting with the warrior Pharangese.
Introductions over - ENJOY!
