Chart Commentary

It's a pink world... After peaking at #2 and almost dropping out of the top 5, P!nk's "Get The Party Started" rebounds all the way to #1 in its 16th week on the chart. This is her first chart-topper since "Lady Marmalade" spent five weeks at #1 during the summer of 2000, and second #1 over-all. Over at the Billboard Hot 100, the track is already starting to fade out, so her record company is already preparing the follow-up, "Don't Let Me Get Me", which should be hitting the airwaves at the end of February. It should be another hit for Ms. Alecia Moore (P!nk).

What about her?... Well, Brandy's "What About Us?" is this week's greatest gainer for a second week in a row. The track vaults to #5 and is poised to take over the top spot in no time. If Brandy eventually hits #1, it will mark her third visit to the top. Her previous #1's include "The Boy Is Mine" (with Monica) and "Have You Ever?", which spent three weeks and two weeks at #1, respectively.

New entries... This week there are four back-to-back entries at #35, #36, #37 and #38. The pack is lead by Enrique Iglesias with "Escape", and is followed by Aaliyah's "More Than A Woman", Nelly Furtado's "On The Radio (Remember The Days)", and finally, Mandy Moore's "Cry".

Coming up... Usher- "U Don't Have To Call", P!nk- "Don't Let Me Get Me", Toya- "No Matta What (Party All Night)", Iio- "Rapture (Tastes So Sweet)", Lenny Kravitz- "Stillness Of Heart", Jay-Z- "Jigga That N***a" & Celine Dion- "A New Day Has Come".
