Chart Commentary

After the dust settles... The battle for the top spot continues this week and after the dust settled, Kylie Minogue managed to come out victorious for a second week in a row with "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". Brandy has a strong chance on eventually topping Kylie though. "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" has been a personal favorite since November of 2001, so the song is getting a bit old for me. The question is: Can Brandy pull it off before any other potential #1 song comes along?.

Double action... This week's greatest gainer is Enrique Iglesias' "Escape", which repeats the honor for a second week in a row. The track climbs five spots up to #15 this week and should crack the top 10 in no time. Tip: check out the video with Anna Kournikova (Hot!).

New entries... This week, Celine Dion returns to the musical scene with "A New Day Has Come", her first single in over two years. The track, from her forthcoming album of the same name, debuts at #32. Celine is followed by a re-entry, courtesy of India.Arie. "Video" had previously peaked at #33 during May of 2001, but with all the Grammy-buzz she's been receiving, I'm finally paying close attention to this track which gives the song new life by re-entering at #34. This week's last debut belongs to Ginuwine's "Tribute To A Woman" which enters at #38 (thanks for the tip Jens!).

Coming up... P!nk- "Don't Let Me Get Me", Ashanti- "Foolish", Lenny Kravitz- "Stillness Of Heart", Glenn Lewis- "Don't You Forget It", City High- "City High Anthem" & Fat Joe f/ Ashanti- "What's Luv?".
