Chart Commentary
More than a hit... While Jennifer Lopez continues to hold at #1 with "Ain't It Funny", her second collaboration with Ja Rule, Aaliyah hits the top 10 with "More Than A Woman", the third release from her excellent self-titled lp. Both "We Need A Resolution" and "Rock The Boat" hit the top 5, so we'll have to wait and see if this one can follow the trend. Natalie Imbruglia also hits the top 10 with "Wrong Impression", the first single from her excellent and highly recommened new album "White Lillies Island".
New entries... This week's highest debut comes from the Goo Goo Dolls. Their new hit "Here Is Gone" starts its chartlife at #29 and preceeds the forthcoming album, "Gutterflower". Alicia Keys is also back with the third single from her Grammy-winning album "Songs In A Minor". The Prince-written track, "How Come You Don't Call Me", enters at #39.
Coming up... No Doubt- "Hella Good", City High- "City High Anthem", Mary J. Blige f/ Ja Rule- "Rainy Dayz", Britney Spears- "Overprotected" & Naughty By Nature f/ 3LW- "Feels Good".
