Welcome To The Star Trek
Transporter Effect Web Page

This web page is dedicated to four phases of a special effects project that I worked on over the course of about seven years. Phase I of the project, completed in 1994, consisted of me building a model of the Star Trek Enterprise's transporter room. Phase II, completed in 1997, consisted of me placing myself into the transporter model and then dematerializing myself out of it! Phase III of the project, completed on June 13, 1999, involved me materializing in front of the Vasquez Rock formation, which was shown prominently in the ST:TOS episode "Arena". Phase IV, which I worked on from August 4th through September 3rd 2001, involves me creating a 26 second, full cycle transporter beamdown animation sequence. It's interesting to note that the two series of pictures shown below were shot 2,000 miles and 4.5 years apart.
