From time to time, I get questions about the site and my reviews. Here are the answers to some of the more frequent questions.
Q: Why are you missing a review for an episode?
A: I try to stay current on my Buffy and Angel reviews. This spring that hasn't happened--especially with Angel. The good news is that I'm going to work on getting those updated this summer. And, yes, I know I missed a Buffy review. It will be posted very soon.
Q: When will the season-ending review be out?
A: Every year I promise a season wrap-up review after each season ends, but I always get bogged down in the middle of the summer by that funny thing called life. I am working on season wrap-ups for Buffy and Angel and they should appear at some point this summer.
Q: Why do you have so few Farscape reviews?
A:I started reviewing in late season three and made it halfway through season four. Again, it was one of those things of not enough hours in the day. I do intend to go in and fill in the gaps at some point.
Q: Any chance of Firefly or Farscape coming back?
A: If only I had the power to do this, I would. Unfortunately, it looks as though both series are gone, for now. The good news is that each series's creators are looking for ways to bring the series back. I've also heard that Fireflyis slated for DVD release at some point. And no, I don't know when.
Q: How long does it take you to write a review?
A: It depends really. Writing is a tricky process and not something that I can definitely say, "It takes me this long." A lot of times I will work on the reviews in my head while doing other things like swimming laps for exercise. At other times, they just spring to me immediately and I write them down quickly before they get away.
Q: You refer to a lot of other shows in your reviews. What are some of the other shows you watch?
A: My all-time favorite TV shows are Doctor Who and original Star Trek That said, Buffy is right up there in the top five. In addition to the shows I review on this site, I'm into Futurama, Scrubs, 24, Without a Trace and Smallville to name a few. And, yes I'm still loyal to the Trek franchise and watch Enterprise.
Q: With three of the four shows you review leaving the airwaves, will you start reviewing a new show next fall?
A: Honestly, I don't know at this point. I'm not sure if I've got anything to say about other shows at this point. But we'll see what happens.
Q: What is/are your favorite episode(s)?
A: That's a tough call. I definitely have some stories I love more than others, but to put down a definitive favorite is difficult. Also, it changes based on which of my top ten or so I've seen most recently.
