DID YOU KNOW? Our chapter chooses its delegates based on a point system. In this system, points are awarded for participating in chapter events and for serving as an officer or committee member. For example, members who attend chapter meetings are awarded three points for the business meeting and three points for the in-service attendance. Points are tallied from the start of the chapter year in September and end the following August 31. The delegates who are selected this year have accumulated their points from September until August 2006. This is the reason you are asked to sign in separately for the in-service and the business meeting. We have nominal funding from our AORN National Foundation for an alternate delegate. If anyone is interested in attending as an alternate, please contact Barbara Jones (barbj0318@msn.com). An alternate must attend all forums and meetings that the delegate attends. An alternate will replace a delegate if that delegate cannot fulfill their duties for any reason.
