The Exercise and Recovery Group is for all 12 steppers in the Overeaters Online Recovery Group. We are affiliated with The Recovery Group and have access to all the services of this group such as discussion groups, Big Book
and Twelve Step studies, a sponsor program, online meetings and a 135 page
website.
We share our experience, strength and hope in exercise as it relates to us in
the Twelve Steps.
My name is Deborah D. and I am the Coordinator of E&R. I am also an aspiring
runner. I work the Twelve Steps of Recovery to the best of my ability each
and every day. This is not an easy program, but a simple one.
I ran in a 5k race last spring, and let me tell you, it felt great. That is
why I am trying to get back to where I left off. Right now I am at ground
level again ... walking ... and doing some jogging in between ... what they
call interval training. You do a little bit more of jogging and little bit
less walking until you are able to start running more than walking. I found a
good training schedule at Runnersworld online. This has helped me a lot.
