COMPATABILITY COMBOS PAGE

The astrological questions which pops up the most frequently seem to be about the subject that astrologers call synastry, or the study of relationships. People always want to know how they will complement another sign. Or more commonly, how they will do oin a relationship with another sign and which sign(s) are the most favorble with their own sun sign.

I've set up a table here to quickly give you an overview of how two sign normally relate together.

Gemini/Virgo - The combination of the perennial teenager and the parent. Gemini and Virgo are related together my their shared rulership of Mercury. This makes 'communication' the keyword in this relationship. There is always much to talk about here and much to share, but the 'parent' Virgo is like a grown-up Gemini. There is a conflict over the seriousness of issues. Ideally, the Gemini can give the Virgo wings to fly , while the Virgo can keep the Gemimi firmly planted on the ground and focused.

Virgo/Virgo - This is what I call the 'picture frame' relationship. Imagine that there is a picture hanging where two or more Virgos will pass by.. Well, one will come by and decide that the picture is not quite straight, (something needing to be set right will always get the Virgo's attention) so the Virgo will adjust it. This is fine until the next Virgo comes by. They will look at the picture and decide that the picture's new position is not quite straight and needs to be fixed, which they will do. The next Virgo coming by will do... Well you get the idea. A Virgo cannot let an opportunity go by in their striving for perfection. All details involve them, and each one has a 'correct' setup. This can be delightful, since there really are so many things in the world that need to be looked after and set right, but since Virgos do not usually agree about the 'right ' setting for everything there can be a constant stress and conflict. Usually though the Virgos can compromise and find a mutually agreeable way to settle their differences. Virgos are by nature usually rather peaceful, but always alert for tasks to be done.
Virgos can focus well on the tasks at hand and are able to keep the day-to-day things in life going, but they are not always able to see 'the forest for the trees' in long-range plans. Usually though a Virgo is very practical and logical so they tend to make and carry out reasonable long-term plans.
