Through assistance from the Government of Japan to the CDA for the Hearing Impaired, a new  comprehensive audiology unit has been installed at Atfaluna.

The new unit includes two sound-proofed testing rooms, a hearing-aid repair laboratory, an ear-mold making laboratory, a social workers/counselor's office, clinic space, and waiting room.  Through the use of new and efficient equipment, even the youngest of children can be audiologically tested and fitted with hearing aids.  The Audiology Unit is the main refferal center for the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health, member organizations of the CDA for the Hearing Impaired, CBR centers in the Gaza Strip, local NGO's and outreach programs, and E.N.T. doctors and pediatricians.  The Audiology Unit conducts morning and afternoon clinics and serves children enrolled in Atfaluna as well as out patients of any age from the entire Gaza Strip community.
