What can I expect when I visit an acupuncturist?

Your first visit requires about two hours, during which time you will have an interview and a physical exam.  In the interview, which includes your health and personal history, you will have the opportunity to speak at length abour your concerns.  This initial visit is designed to enable your practitioner to assess the underlying conditions leading to your current situation.  The session is completely confidential.  No needles are used during the first visit and at this time you will be advised of the anticipated frequency of treatments.
