Those of you who have read Bruce's story know that our youngest daughter, Chrissy, had just turned five years old when Bruce was diagnosed, and that Bruce lived to give her away on her wedding day in May, 2001. Well, I have some news to share! Chrissy and her husband have learned that they're going to have a baby! :-)
When Bruce was diagnosed, living long enough to see his children grow up, seemed like an impossible dream. Now, his dream is to see his grandchildren grow up!...Chrissy's baby will make grandchild number 6 for us!

I apologize for not updating recently. Hopefully, my silence lets you know that all is well though. Since I last updated, Bruce has had routine scans done and a routine check-up. He's still in remission!

I have more news to share. One of our other daughters is also pregnant!

Chrissy had her baby July 23rd. He's a healthy boy - weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces - and of course, he's adorable. Our daughter, Jen, is scheduled to have a C section done October 4th, if she doesn't start labor before then.

Bruce had CT scans done last Tuesday, plus a pulmonary function test. Today he had blood work done, a check-up with his onc, and he got the results of all the tests. He's still in remission! :-)

This is just a quick message to let you know that our daughter, Jen, had her baby this past Tuesday, September 30th. (Yes, she went ahead of schedule). She's a healthy girl - weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz - and of course, she too is adorable. It's funny to think that we were scared Bruce wouldn't get to see his children grow up because of the NHL, but now here he is enjoying grandchildren. The new baby is our 7th grandchild!
