Comments.
After a day rest, legs felt
stronger today, and less problematic.
Basically no problems with left foot, but right foot soles still felt
funny like there’s a split in the sole muscle right in the middle. Feel stronger also because had lunch, and
previous nacht Tam’s kotiaw.
Started run quite weakly,
because today it’s supposed to be a cautious run. Left knee also felt kinda weak at first. Also, during 1st km the left shoe
was problematic, didn’t put on properly and felt this protrusion onto the sole
right about under the arch. This Brooks
is kinda unforgiving if you put it on wrong.
So at Tesco End stopped, loosened the shoe, repositioned foot &
retied shoe properly and continued. 2nd
km got faster & faster it seemed.
From Tesco End to Jetty End left foot started to feel sole trouble, like
a muscle pull once in a while during toe off.
Also noticed that these new shoes seem to land harder, the heel kinda
high, and if land too far back, will slap the forefoot hard. Tried to control footplant midsole kinda, but
still landing hard.
At Jetty End surprised to see
sub 25 mins, so return trip to Two Trees went full speed realizing this could
be a PR. 500 m from two trees, developed
Demon Pain side-stitch on the right side.
Breathed against it like crazy, like the Pm’s “Spirit of Pia” whatever
that means. Anyway, completed sub 35
min, but unsure of PR until checked records.
Yup, it’s a PR alright. So I
expect tomorrow my feet will have all sorts of problems. Hahaha..
At least have three days to heal before the big event.
BTW yesterday used this
website http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/
to roughly measure the Udini route.
Measures about 5.3 km.
Haha.. If that were true, then
today was really doing 6:34/km. Can join
Pacesetters ar?
Characters: A couple taking a walk. Three guys, possibly marine policemen,
walking, looking panchit. All three seen
during 1st & 2nd
km, then on last leg saw one of them had started running again, while other two
still walking panchit.
Postrun: Felt good overall. Soles of both feet felt funny. Haha.. Tonight will ice it. Also, had Tam’s standard paprik dinner. Carbo loading continues.
