Comments.            Highly enjoyable slow run.  Started slow, and on return trip Faizul Mechie a runner wannabe joined me.  The courageous thing is that he signed up for the Penang Bridge run although he knows he is undertrained (cannot go 10k nonstop).   The good thing is that he slowed things down enough to make this run relaxed and refreshing.  He dropped out after 5.5k on the Two-trees to Tesco End segment, after huffin and puffin for a while.  After he dropped out, I sped up the pace for a quick last km finish, swooping by him one last time.  There are a lot of joggers & runners on the route today for some reason.  Maybe people have just gotten serious about training for the Penang Bridge Run since this week is the final week for submission of the entry form.

The new Brooks now at 43 ran mileage + unknown walked mileage should be broken in enough for this week’s LSD.  Will finally retire the NB765, which has served me on two half marathons if I’m not mistaken (PBR2003 & PJHalf2006).

Characters:  Too many to remember.

Postrun:   Tired but “high”.
