The traditional mission
of Team EMS was once very clear: save lives. Today, however, that mission has taken on a
much broader meaning. Team EMS today does much more than simply save lives. In the past
five years, Team EMS has developed effective emergency medical services to provide
treatment to the sick and injured, implemented comprehensive community education programs
designed to reduce the frequency of preventable illnesses and injuries, and has even begun
to provide neighbourhood health care services. In the future, Team EMS' mission will still include saving lives. But it will include more, much more. The mission of Team EMS will be to "prevent harm" from coming to our community. |
