Overcoming Abusive Relationships
Overcoming an abusive relationship can be very difficult. Sometimes when we leave one relationship we find ourselves in another one just as or more abusive than the first. We are kept in the state of being the victim. No matter what we do, we are always the victim!
Our Self-Esteem or Self-Worth
Being a victim is a learned state. As children we learn our value from the adults in our lives. It is through our primary care givers that we develop our self-esteem and sense of self-worth. A young child's faculties of judgement are not in place yet. Anything an adult may say to it is taken as gospel and entered into their minds as being the truth.
Through hypnosis we get at these "truths" and review them with your, now adult, faculties. These truths may then be reworked or reworded, possibly even tossed and replaced with new truths. We may even help you reparent yourself to a new level of self-worth.
Once your victim stance has been dealt with you may take back the power that is yours over your own life. We help you learn what your responsibilities are to yourself. Empowerment, self-esteem and self-worth are the goals in therapy to overcome abusive relationships. These will break the abusive cycle!
Can we help you take back your life?
