PRANIC HEALING
We know that energy exists in many forms: Heat energy, light energy which we see, Radiation used in x-rays or in cancer treatments, and the types of energy we are taught in school Potential energy and Kinetic energy. In fact everything in the universe is made of some form of energy. The atomic particles themselves are full of energy, just look at the reaction caused by splitting an atom of uranium. The above paragraph is arguably a juvenile description of energy but it makes the point that no matter where we are, there is an abundance of energy in one form or another right there if we could only make use of it. The fact of the matter is that we CAN make use of it. It is in our makeup. In different cultures the energy around us has been given different names. Prana (By the Tibetians), Ki or Chi (By the Asians), pneuma (By the Greeks), mana (By the Polynesians), and Ruah (Hebrew for Breath of life). The Aura We all possess a human energy field, an aura. It has been described for thousands of years by various peoples from all cultures as a multi layered multi coloured field which radiates outwards from our physical bodies. Some people refer to this field as a bio-energy field. It can extend out very far or remain close to the body, which occurs when the person is protecting themselves from someone or something. In truth this energy field not only goes around you, but moves within your body as well. It is not just the outside of your body that is made of electromagnetic energies, every part of you and everything you experience in third dimension, as mentioned above possesses an aura. Auras vibrate to different color, sound and light frequencies. The color spectrum varies with one's physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states. Since our aura responds to different energy frequencies in different ways, it stands to reason that our environment, which is made up of energy, will affect our aura. In turn, our physical, emotional and spiritual condition will vary according to the variations of the aura.
Pranic Healing The concept of Pranic Healing is to balance the flow and quality of prana within our aura. “The healer projects prana into the patient, thereby healing him.” [1] Prana is derived from 3 main sources. Solar Prana is absorbed from the sun, or from ingesting food which has been exposed to the sun, Ozone Prana derived from the air through deep controlled breathing, and absorbed by our chakras, and Ground Prana which comes in to our bodies through the soles of our feet. This is especially true when we walk barefoot on soft earth or grass. Pranic healing is based on the overall structure of the human body. Composed of 2 parts, the physical body and the auric body (also called the etheric body, bioplasmic body or etheric double) the human body will respond to projected prana by the healer. The healer will manipulate the prana, ki or bioplasmic matter of the patient’s body to bring it into balance so as to remedy an ailment of the patient. Pranic healing has also been called psychic healing, magnetic healing, faith healing, ki healing vitalic healing and the laying on of hands. I would like to make a note here that Reiki, another modality of using energy (Ki) to heal has also been referred to as the laying on of hands. This is true, but I feel that Reiki is a more subtle less guided-by-the-healer, form of healing. The Pranic Healer typically channels energy from the various sources and directs the energy specifically to chakras, tissues, organs, auric layers etc., and also removes build ups or congestion from the patients energy field. The Treatment The healer will scan the patient with his hands or eyes (if he possesses the ability to see auras) then usually sweep the affected areas to remove negative energies. The sweep can involve an overall sweeping followed by a shaking-off of the negative energies which have been swept clear of the patient. This can be done numerous times until the healer feels that the negative energies have been cleared. The healer then would replace the negative energies with positive prana from the preferred source as guided by instinct or knowledge by directing the prana with his hands to the required area of the patient. Depending on the condition of the patient, a Pranic healer can make use of colours which will affect the various chakras or auric layers to achieve a desired result. The colours are sent to the patient by intent on the part of the healer who is able to “filter” specific energy frequencies as needed to the specific areas for treatment. Colours Below is a very brief guide to using coloured light for some purposes as usual this is not a substitute for medical treatment.
