I just can't say enough about this book. It is the BEST thing I ever read about bipolar disorder and a personal journey. It is so honest, and it was a bold thing for the author to do, considering she is a Professor of Psychology. |

This was also a GREAT book for me. It covers every kind of "bad" parent, helps you understand where they were coming from, how it affected you and your current feelings and possible problems - a real eye-opener! |

Feeling Good : The New Mood Therapy by David D. Burns, MD (Click on book for more info and how to order) |
A cognitive approach in a self-help book. Dr. Burns explains how to make the connection between your feelings and thoughts. I own the book, but personally my concentration has been so bad that I have not been able to read it. |

You've got it, the follow up to the book above, it's an actual workbook where you can apply the theory to yourself. It looks very good. I own it and I haven't really touched it except to browse through it. It tells you to do what my current therapist is advocating. I really think it can work for most people and is a good buy. |
