MEMBERSHIP FEE $25 TO JOIN & $20 YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION

The Role of the Social Worker

1. We offer information on Huntington's Disease and other Neurological conditions.

2. We have pamphlets, library books, information on the latest research, videos and tapes at no cost.

3. We can make it possible for you to meet others with the same condition, one to one or in a support group situation.

4. We have information on the services that are available to you and can arrange for these on your behalf; e.g.

Transport
Income Support
Home Help
Care Relief
Taxi Vouchers
Mobility Cards etc

5. We arrange exercise classes and hydrotherapy. The cost for this is $18 per six week course.

6. We have information on equipment and where you can get it from.

7. We have an active committee who work hard for the benefit of all members.

8. Our Society employs three Social Workers to be there for you. If we don't have the answer, it's our job to find it.

Social Workers

This Combined Incorporated Society employs three Social Workers who share the area from Waihi Beach in the north west to Cape Runaway on the East Coast. They include under their umbrella other neurological diseases such as Huntington's Disease
