April 04, 1998 -Old Knee injury with Ayurveda

Physician: Dr.S.S.Vaidya

The patient was a female of 20 years with a history of injury to the right knee joint reported with pain and swelling around the knee joint on 02-Jan-1998. The X-ray showed no fracture.

The measurements before treatment:

1. At the base of the patella - 36cm
2. At the centre of the patella - 34 cm
3. At the tip of the patella - 32 cm

Treatment duration was from 02-Jan-1998 to 10-Feb-1998.

Treatment was:

• Tab Sinha Guggul - 250 mg - 2 tabs 3 times a day
• Tab Arogyawardhini - 125 mg - 1 tab 3 times a day
• Tab Yogaraj Guggul - 250 mg - 1 tab 3 times a day

Measurements on 12-Jan-1998

1. At the base of the patella - 31cm
2. At the centre of the patella - 31.5 cm
3. At the tip of the patella - 30 cm

Application of Vishgarbha Oil was given and continued until the end of the treatment. The measurements of the three levels showed reduction of synovitis and with that the pain also disappeared.
