180 mg of ZINC GLUCONATE ( containing 23mg of elemental ZINC ) was prescribed in the form of a lozenge.
Patient was asked to suck this for at least ten minutes so that Zn would give a lengthy bath to throat tissues where rhinoviruses multiply.
This local ZINC therapy was very effective.
