The mother of a young boy age 11 years one day brought his morning urine. It contained nothing but blood hæmaturia. A plain X-ray of the kidneys showed both the kidneys full of multiple small stones in their cortical areas. A routine conventional treatment with alkaline fluids by mouth and anti-spasmodics was prescribed and surgery was advised in two stages after a month or so. The mother insisted on homeopathic treatment. A senior experienced homeopath, who was also a doctor of conventional medicine, studied the case of this boy. A single dose of Lycopodium 30 along with Berberis Vulgaris 30 was given. The boy again got hæmaturia but afterwards X-ray showed all clear in both cortex areas. No repeat of the treatment was required and there was no further re-occurence of the stones.
