Integrated treatment with conventional and ayurvedic treatment.
A female 34 years of age reported with
" Status
asthamaticus "
Treatment started on 3-1-96.
She was asked to continue her daily intravenous Derriphylline for
a week more.
Simultaneously following ayurvedic treatment was started.
She was prescribed (1) SITOPALADI and BEHEDA churna (mixed
powder). 500 mgs three times a day.(2) Tab. SHWASK THAR
125mg.twice a day.
After a month (3) Tab SOOKSHMA TRIPHALA 250mg three times a day
and Tab GANDHAK RASAYANA 125mg twice a day were added to (1) and
(2).
On 26-6-96
AROGYAWARDHINI 125mg one tablet three times a day was added to the above treatment and was to be continued for one year or more as it is a general purpose tonic.
The other ayurvedic treatment was continued till 15—12—96.
She is much better and free from regular attacks of asthma. She infrequently gets only wheezing with sudden change in the environment at that time she has been advised to take three injections of derriphylline and to restart the ayurvedic treatment for a week only.
