Surgery pictures Page 9: May, 2000 Dental Surgery
Sheldon's just out of surgery...the first moments in the recovery room. He's still pretty out of it and won't actually come around for a few more hours. After being in this recovery room for a while we'll move to the Ambulatory Surgical Center where he'll be monitored until he's discharged.
Still really out of it. He woke up momentarily, sipped a teeny-weeny bit of apple juice then got sick from it. After we changed him he went right back to sleep.
A while later, we even tried to get Pikachu's help in arousing our little guy...no such luck. He's still out.
He's finally up, and able to keep down enough liquids to get him off the IV. Enjoying an ice-pop and watching TV with dad. No more bottom teeth! We also found out that his top teeth were *badly* decayed and the dentist removed those too, since his permanent teeth will be arriving in a few months.

Riding downstairs in this wheel chair was about the best fun he had this afternoon. Time to go HOME!
He's supposed to be on a liquid/soft food diet for 48 hours...but a few hours after we got home he was begging for spaghetti! He didn't get it but seemed okay with applesauce instead.
2 days post-op and enjoying a moment with Dad. He showed no signs of discomfort these past few days; just a little sleepier-than-usual the day after. But otherwise, he was thrilled that he "scored big" from the Tooth Fairy.
