The best way to watch for shooting stars is to find a place
with an open, clear view of the sky. Dressing in warm clothing
or layers - even in summer – is always a good idea.
Another factor to consider is bright moonlight and/or the phase
of the moon, which can considerably cut into the potential
number of shooting stars that might be seen.
If a Full Moon is present during your shooting star watch, it could wipe out viewing all but the very brightest of the shooting stars.
