I've just been told that I MIGHT have Lupus after 3 years of thinking I was neurotic. It takes a month to get an appointment with a Rheumatologist, so I am waiting....I suspected lupus months ago, but it wasn't until I told my family doctor that he ran the tests and I indeed have an inflammatory disorder. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your site has been a lifsaver.

I haven't had a "final diagnosis" of MS yet. I had 3 TIA's in May (mini-strokes) and was still having neurological problems...my mother had both asthma and lupus, my grandmother had rheumatoid arthritis. apparently, autoimmune disease runs in my family? the neurologist ordered a blood test and said she didn't think I have lupus and I kind of agree....I dont' think I have the symptoms. But I think the MS thing may be correct. I went back because I thought I was having stroke damage even though all I have was TIA ministroke that has no permanent deficits...not like a minor stroke that is an actual stroke. But if the MRI shows it, what is affected now is in the thalamus and speech, balance, sight, and concentration. So I am desperately trying to find some real info on MS...by people who have it! I have a great site for the stroke/TIA problem. I'm worried about going blind, losing my job, etc. Now I'm going to search your house and see what I can find. Actually, I am going to try and downloadthis into my favorites folder!

Hi Gayla,
Your site has helped me a great deal. For years I have suffered from Lupus, I think...lol When the doctors finish giving me every test known to man I will let you know. Seven years ago I was told "I think you have Lupus, read up on in" I' e gone untreated except for steroids here and there for pulmonary problems and cordisone cream for rashes. Lots and lots of tylonol for pain and head aches :-) I have gained the strength from your pages to go to my doctor with a complete medical history instead of sitting there waiting for them to tell me. Thank you for putting the time into helping us :-)
