I find it very helpful to read what other people are going through and that I'm not loony about what is happening to my body . I have had to change my whole lifestyle and this is very sad to me I've gone from being a full time casino bartender to someone unable to even hold a job. I love people and function very well being around people all the time; now I can't be around people because of all the drugs I take because I could become ill. So I try to go one day at a time and try to stay alive.

This is a very informative site. I just found out that a friend of mine was diagnosed with lupus. The Dr's didnt know what it was. They thought Lukemia and Diabities, but then said lupus. She is 26 yrs old, married just 2 years and her husband is in the s rvice stationed in Korea.He comes home in Nov and then they move to Colorado. She already has seen a Dr. there for a 2nd opinion and they agree. She is the 1st person I have known with this desease. It has effected her organs so far. I want to be as supp rtive as possible. What can I do?

I am very touched by this site and I realize and am grateful that my systems are very very slight compared to what I have read here. The stories made me cry and even though I have discoid lupus and fibromyalgia it is not nearly as bad as what I've read h re. My heart goes out to each and every one of these people who suffer from Lupus and their secondaries and as I've noticed even more than 2 other affecting illnesses. i will not complain again.

I must congratulate you on the design of your web page and I find it to be one of the most informative sites that I have visited. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1996 and that is an experience that I would not wish on my worse enemy. All I remember is the pain. I was hospitalized for about 3 weeks and it was during my hospital stay that I was diagnosed. So far, from what I have read, I seem to have gotten off quite lightly - I have not been on any medication since November 1997 (thank God) - I have got a lot of prayers going my way and I will be praying for you as well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to put this web site together. I belive that I have lupus nephritis...the diagnosis is a difficult process. I have had most of the symptoms of lupus throughout my life. I am 30 years old. My mom, her only sister, nd their mother (my grandmother) all have lupus. My antibody profile came back negative; but i am convinced. I have had blood in my urine for a week with no pain. I also had toxemia, low platelets and kidney failure in my pregnancy. Anyway, I have been se rching for 5 days for answers. Your site has been very helpful. Thank you again.
