small sun  My Sugar Boy brought a piece of heaven with him when he came to me. He is the warmth and cheer of sunlight to my spirit. Though extremely compassionate and generous, he also has a marvelous sense of humor. He adds so much fun and wonder to my life I can't imagine how I ever got by without him. He opens my mind to endless possibilities and makes me laugh from way down deep within my soul. He has awakened my once-forgotten ability to dream and believe in the impossible. He's like my own little leprechaun, with his brilliant personality reflecting every hue of the rainbow and the pot of gold is the smile he brings to my heart.

You may wonder about the banner at the top of the page ~ what on earth does that mean... and what does it have to do with Robert's Room? I created the banner for him, but he's the one who designed it. I think this may be the name of a video game ~ I'm really not sure! But this is his page, so I've placed all the things he likes.

He is my fantasy child who absolutely amazes me, thinking castles in the air are not only possible but practical.

Hey... sometimes the dragon wins....

I love to listen to his fables of knights and beasts, swords and magic potions, and his memories of heaven and being with God. He has rekindled my love for the great spiritual unknown. He is my comfort and assurance that each of us are perfect expressions of God's love to one another.

Robert is 8 and all boy. He is gentle and kind hearted, but can tear up a rock without a hammer and not even intend to. Life is a circus to him, and the furniture is the Center Ring... gymnastic feats are practiced daily from the chairs, curtains, and tables. This little man could climb before he could walk, and I often found him pulling himself up the back of a chair and into the window sill. He now climbs trees and houses. More than once I've ordered him off the awning which covers our patio.

For RobDog, to live is to climb.... and run, jump, spin, flip, twist, flop, drop, roll, burp, and spit. Spitting is just a natural reflex for the male gender. I truly believe it comes automatically and they do it without even being aware.

Of all the many things my son loves to play and pretend to be, he came fully-equipped just knowing certain things about being a male...
and the most important is knowing that all any man really needs to survive is a big stick.

Robert's Poster  Artist's Award

Robert is also an artistic child who loves to read, draw, and play musical instruments. During our County Fair this year, he entered a poster he made which looks like the above image. He was in the 6 - 8 yr. old catagory, and managed to get 1 of the 5 ribbons given out of over 30 entries! Upon hearing the news, my friend, Denise, sent the "Young Artist's Award" to Robert.
Thanks, Denise!

Robert is also learning to draw with Paint Shop Pro! Here are his swords and his self-portrait:
