8 oz. Package of cream cheese, softened
1 stick of margarine, softened
1 small jar of dried beef, chopped, now found in packages
1 tsp minced onion
a smidgen of garlic powder
1 cup finely chopped pecans
Cream the cheese and margarine until well mixed. Add the dried beef and onion, then the garlic powder. Work the mixture until it easily forms a ball. Chill slightly so it can be easily handled. Shape the mixture into a ball and then roll in the pecans or chopped parsley. Wrap in waxed paper and put in a sealed Tupperware bowl until ready to use. Set out a bit to soften before serving with a variety of crackers.
