Cranberry Bread

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup walnuts
1 beaten egg
2 Tblsp butter, melted
1 cup cranberries, halved
juice of 1 orange plus water to make 3/4 cup (substitute orange juice if desired)

Sift together sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. When well blended, add all the remaining ingredients. Stir to mix well. Transfer to a greased bread pan that has been lightly coated with flour. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool of wire rack.
