Ingredients:
1 small onion, finely chopped
several garlic cloves (to taste)
1 can (15 oz.) Garbonzo beans, drained
2 to 3 Tblsp bread or cracker crumbs
1 tsp salt
3 Tblsp tahini (If you can't find it, you can get by without it)
1 Tblsp parsley
1 tsp cumin
1 egg
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp tumeric
Mash the garbanzo beans, or put in a blender until smooth, and then combine with onion. When
the mixture is a smooth texture, stir in the remaining ingredients. When well blended, prepare the
falafel into the desired for and then prepare as desired, frying patties or balls is the most common
method of preparation.
