Green Bean Amandine

Ingredients:

1/2 pound green beans; or 9 oz. package French cut green beans
2 Tblsp slivered almonds
1 Tblsp butter
1 tsp lemon juice

Cut the fresh green beans into thin lenghtwise slices. Cook, covered in a small amount of water for 10-12 minutes. Or follow directions on package of frozen vegetables. Drain. While the beans are cooking, cook and stir the almonds in butter over medium heat until golden; stir in the lemon juice. When the beans are done, stir in the beans then trnsfer to a serving bowl.
