Laura is the the Sushi Hound has been enjoying sushi since the early 1970's, before it was popular in the U.S. She has been making sushi, and teaching others to make sushi, since the mid-1980's. Today, Laura is involved in Boulder's food community in a variety of ways. She was the restaurant chair for Boulder's Taste of the Nation benefit for 13 years and has been a been involved with Boulder's Slow Food group since 1997, currently serving on the steering committee. Laura has worked in the natural foods industry for since 1995 and accompanies the Rocky Mountain News restaurant critic on reviews. She has also published, and been featured in, food-related articles. And, she's truly a sushi hound, eating most anyone under the table at a sushi bar.
