Description
Nopale is the long, flat leaf portion of the Nopal (Prickly Pear) Cactus.

Preparation and Serving
They can be eaten raw or cooked. Remove the needles, the peel and cut into pieces. They can be steamed, sauteed, or stewed. They are often added to salads, omelet, and mashed beans. They can also be added to soup about 10 minutes before the end of cooking.
