1.While whisking egg whites add a pinch of salt for quicker results.
2.If milk begins to boil over ,sprinkle a few drops of water over it to prevent it from spilling. 3.Dried bread crumbs may be pounded and used in making cutlets. 4.Prepare the dough for puris,then wrap the dough in wet tissue paper and keep for sometime which prevents the dough from being brittle. 5.Use water drained from curdled milk to make chappati dough.This makes the dough softer. 6.Grease the cheese grater before grating cheese.This prevents the cheese from sticking to the grater. 7.Grease the vessal thoroughly while making halwa.This help in easy spreading of the halwa. 8.Put a piece of tamarind in the pressure cooker while cooking.This prevents the cooker from blackening. 9.To avoid bad odour and to give a good colour to old potatoes add a few drops of vinegar to water while boiling. |
