Leonard Dudek

John and Eva Dudek's first child was born on March 5, 1922, a baby boy named Leonard Edward Dudek.  Leonard was born at his parents' home in Detroit.  He attended St. Cunegunda High School from 1935 to 1939, and Highland Park Trade School from 1939 to 1941.  In 1943, Leonard landed a job with Gar Wood Industries.  Two years later, on February 24, 1955, Leonard married Mabel Lee Calvert.  He moved from Detroit to Royal Oak that year where he would reside for five years.  After Royal Oak, Leonard would live in Plymouth, Mich. (1950), Livonia, Mich. (1969), and finally White Lake, Mich. (1979).  After 12 years at Gar Wood Industries, Leonard would spend the next 27 years working for Ewald Steel, before finishing career at Kenwall Steel in 1987.  Leonard and Mabel had two children along the way -- Terry in 1946, and Sharon in 1950.  Among his interests are music, reading, traveling, photography, and fixing things around the house.  Leonard passed away on January 7, 1991 at the age of 68.
