Miscellaneous Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon really can show up in different shapes! Personally I did not find any blackcurrants in any of the wines... Others did though...

The Greece effort might have been appreciated if we had been tasting Beaujolais Noveau... It had a long finish though... The Meyney was kind of a disappointment - quite thin, green and hollow. Not at all what we have been used to. I had a 1990 a couple of weeks ago (bought for only 89 SEK 1993!) and it was playing in a completely different leauge. The Farnite was really nice; nicely integrated oak, balanced, coffe and chocolate. The Chillida was another huge effort from Marqués de Griñon. Maybe a bit to obvious but what the heck: Carpe Diem! Mature, toasted aromas on the nose. Soft tannins in harmony with dried fruits, moccha and Anthon Berg's Marzipan with Plums in Madeira! Drinking incredibly well now - no reason to save it.
